Recurring Nonviolent Communication Practice Groups
Free Weekly Nonviolent Communication Practice Groups
The Teran James Young Foundation believes in the power of compassionate communication to foster peace and sustainability in our communities. As part of our efforts to make this vision a reality, we offer free weekly Nonviolent Communication (NVC) practice groups that are open to anyone who wishes to learn new communication skills and engage in their community.
Through these weekly NVC practice groups, participants can develop a greater understanding of themselves and others, as well as learn how to communicate more effectively and compassionately in their daily lives. By providing a safe and supportive space for people to practice NVC, we hope to promote empathy, understanding, and connection among individuals and communities.
To ensure that people around the world can access our NVC practice groups, we offer them online through Zoom. Whether you’re located in a different city or country, you can join our community and participate in these weekly sessions. All you need is an internet connection and a willingness to learn and grow.

NVC is important because it offers a framework for communicating in a way that promotes mutual understanding and positive outcomes, while avoiding language and behavior that can lead to harm or violence. By practicing NVC, we can build stronger relationships, resolve conflicts more effectively, and promote greater empathy and compassion in our communities.
If you’re interested in joining our NVC practice groups or staying updated on our upcoming events, please email info@teranjy.org to join our email list. We’ll keep you informed about our latest offerings, resources, and opportunities to connect with our community of compassionate communicators. Together, we can create a world where everyone embraces one another with compassion and understanding.
