The Teran James Young Foundation (TJYF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit working on creating more sustainable agriculture practices in Maui.
Sustainable Food Supply Is Critical
We must grow our own food locally, there is no need to import 90% of our food. Our tropical island state can easily provide food security for its population.
Regenerative Agriculture Fixes Climate Change
We must look into regenerative agriculture and grow our food locally to be sustainable. If we use regenerative agriculture throughout the world it would be a complete solution to climate change as it would sequester more than enough carbon. We support reef-friendly landscaping because chemical use is unnecessary for pest/ weed control and fertilizing.
